PSG’s midfield has been a bit of a mystery for the team.
They’ve had a lot of talent in recent years but nobody has really had the same impact as Andres Insigne.
His passing, pace and ability to link up with his teammates have been the big things that have really stood out.
The Brazil international is the only player who has managed to score more than six goals in the Champions League group stages this year and has also been a key figure in the team’s success.
PSG have now put their faith in the 22-year-old, who is looking to add some of those attributes to his game and has been offered a move away from the club.
Iniesta was the best player in the group stage and has already scored three goals in four matches, while a brace against Sevilla in the final round would have been enough to qualify them for the knockout stages.
PSV’s new coach was not shy to put forward his options for the Brazilian and the forward will have a look at the rest of his squad before making a decision on where he wants to play his football.
In all, PSG now have five midfielders who can play a similar style to Iniesta’s.
In the next few weeks, we will also get to see how PSG will try to deal with the fact that they have no centre-back.
The Brazilian is expected to leave the club for free in the summer and will likely have to leave in the winter.
